ABOUT ME
I am dedicated to the advancement of the massage therapy profession . As a massage therapist early in my career, I really embraced the possibilities of how the effects of massage therapy has so many beneficial applications in allied health care. I started with writing some simple case reports to document my patient outcomes. More experience led me to other applications and the parallel of ergonomics and its benefits for clients and massage therapy professionals in unique ways.
Teaching massage therapy has been a world of exploration and inspiration for my professional journey. I love teaching students and sharing my enthusiasm but furthering my own knowledge of education has opened another pathway that I have only just begun to explore. I am fascinated and intrigued by educational research, instructional design applications, and the emerging world of educational technology. I plan to continue down this path by working on more research and other professional collaborations to benefit massage therapy professionals and educators. I wish to share my knowledge to make positive contributions for the advancement of the framework of massage therapy and allied health care education and training.
